If you’re like me, you often find yourself slammed with random to-do’s, “emergencies”, and other stuff that gets you distracted from actually getting good work done. Sound familiar? Try this…

1. Start with the MOST IMPORTANT tasks first!

Many leaders are the most productive in the morning. Do the work that produces the highest results first. Then do low-producing tasks later in the day.

2. Say NO. (Do this more often than you say, “Yes.”)

Effective leaders know when to say yes, and more importantly when to say no. Make sure there is white space on your calendar on a weekly basis.

3. Block scheduling.

Create blocks on your calendar that are for uninterrupted work. Go on DND and hammer out productive work. This could be writing, strategy/planning, etc.
